When and why do I have to fill out a Subscription Agreement?
A Subscription Agreement must be filled out before an apprentice can be dispatched to you. This agreement has been put in place to ensure the rights of our apprentices to receive their appropriate wages and fringe benefits while working for non-union contractors on public works jobs.
Contrary to popular belief, a Subscription Agreement is NOT a full-blown Union Agreement. The contractor is only bound to this agreement for the duration of the project and the agreement only applies to the apprentice(s) we dispatch.
